A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

Come join us for an evening of music and reflection as we recap the story of redemption from the Scripture lessons which will be read, accompanied by sacred music provided by the Spot Pocket Opera Theatre (SPOT).
The original service was created by Bp Edward W. Benson in 1880 at Truro Cathedral in Cornwall, England, and it soon spread rapidly not only in the British Isles, but also all around the world. The service we will be using is an adaptation the one held at King’s College, Cambridge. It was first introduced there on Christmas Eve 1918 and today is broadcast live around the world by the BBC.
